Claims procedure

I need to go to the doctor or to the hospital emergency department.

General rule 
The Insurer CHUBB reimburses the covered medical costs after the allowance refunded by health fund of the insured person or other Insurance contract..

Pratically :

  1. Please verify before your departure if your basic mutual healthcare cover effectively offers reimbursement of medical costs made in your country of destination.
    • If NO: ask them a written confirmation that you will add to your file to CHUBB.
    • If YES: send all proofs payment of the bills to your parents so they can manage their reimbursement with their basic mutual healthcare cover.
  2. You pay directly and fully the medical costs (medication/ consultation / radiography)
  3. The accident/disease claims form has to be filled in by a medical practitioner.
  4. Fill you claim via www.chubbclaims.be or fill in the general claims form CHUBB  and don’t forget to mention:
    • The n° of your insurance policy CHUBB BEBST….. mentioned on the document you received by mail after on line payment.
    • The full bank account number Iban and BIC code where the repayment can be made.
  5. Set up 2 files (one for CHUBB and a copy for You) containing:
    • The accident/disease claims form
    • the 'general claims form CHUBB'
    • the details of the costs (originals bills and/or scans)

I need a medical treatment involving hospitalization (overnight or one day clinic).

Please follow these steps:

  • First, contact CHUBB Assistance (24/7multilingual call center): +32 2 516 98 15.
  • Prepare the following information:
    • Product Code Number: 000 50 42 381
    • Insurance number BEBST….. which is listed on the insurance certificate you received by email after payment
    • Valid identification and contact details of emergency contacts.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Upon your hospital admission, formally ask CHUBB Assistance to make CHUBB Europe confirm to the hospital that it will support the direct payment of hospital charges. CHUBB Assistance will help you in all these procedures.

For all other medical services unrelated to hospitalization follow the procedure above scenario (I need to go to the doctor or to the hospital emergency department).

My luggage or personal belongings are missing or stolen.

  • Fill you claim via www.chubbclaims.be or fill in the general claims form CHUBB  and don’t forget to mention:
    • The n° of your insurance policy CHUBB BEBST….. mentioned on the document you received by mail after on line payment.

I must be repatriated to attend the funeral of a relative.

Follow these steps:

  • First, contact CHUBB Assistance (24/7multilingual call center): +32 2 516 98 15.
  • Prepare the following information:
    • Product Code Number: 000 50 42 381
    • Insurance number BEBST….. which is listed on the insurance certificate you received by email after payment
    • Valid identification and contact details of emergency contacts.
  • Specificly request your repatriation.

CHUBB Assistance will help you in all these procedures.

I damaged an object belonging to my host family.
